I couldn’t resist posting this Beatles video clip here the moment I saw it. John Lennon plays it so cool. George Harrison is cool too while Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr are having fun. I loved this song from the first time I heard it. (That goes for every Beatles track, I guess.) Come Together was the B-side of Something, released as a single towards the end of 1969. That was a fabulous year for the Beatles, when they also released Get Back and The Ballad of John and Yoko as singles. Get Back and The Ballad of John and Yoko both topped the UK singles chart which we used to listen to in Calcutta (Kolkata) on the BBC World Service. But Something never climbed higher than the fourth spot, according to Wikipedia. They were all played very often on the Western music programmes on All India Radio’s Calcutta B channel. I was young then and preferred Come Together to Something.
